100 Employees, 1 Month!
Raising Awareness of autism and employment across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes
Sponsored by Kettering Park Hotel, Grant Thornton, Sixfields Events at Northampton Town Football Club and Brackmills BID
Why are we doing it? Just 16% of autistic adults are in full time employment. TRACK is supporting businesses across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes to embrace the talents of a diverse range of individuals. Last year we supported 25 people into paid employment, and over 50 more into access work experience placements.
April is Autism Awareness Month and we want our local area to lead the way in employing autistic people. To support this we will be providing a 60-minute training session for organisations across our local area.
How and What?
The 60-minute training session will outline what autism is, how autistic employees can bring a huge amount of talent to your business and how to support autistic employees. You will be able to take this knowledge back into your organisation and share the information with colleagues, so we can truly be a local area which is talking about – and encouraging – autism in the workplace.
Our aim is to provide training to 100 employees from local businesses throughout April. Donations for attendance go directly to Café Track which provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their employability skills and work experience. Places are limited to 25 people per session and you can access this specialised training from just £20.
Want to train all of your staff? You can host a session specifically in your workplace for £250 for up to 25 employees, or £300 for as many employees as you like!
